Book Review: Allegiant SPOILERS

So you've read it now.  That ending.  There are so many things I could talk about, but I'm going to talk about that ENDING.  So if you haven't read the book, don't click to continue reading.  Just don't.

So I've said before that I was considering giving this book one star and the ending is why.  Tris dies.  She dies, people!  That's just about the only way this series could have ended, I believe that with all my heart, but I also believed it ruined the series for me forever.  I may never be able to re-read the books ever again knowing what I know now.  They're not really even my favorites anymore.  But it was the perfect ending.

My real problem with the ending wasn't so much that she died but with how she died.  She pretty much just gave up.  I know her life sucks, it really did, but she GAVE UP PEOPLE.  Let me show you the quote I really have a problem with: "Am I done yet?" (pg 475) and "I gladly go into her embrace," (pg. 476).  The whole idea of the books, in my opinion, is that Tris is a survivor, she will survive and she will do whatever she can to make sure that she does.  This ending ruined that idea of her for me and I just can't forgive that.

So what do you think?  Did you like the ending?   Did you hate it?  Why?  I want to hear from you guys, so comment!
